The Cask Tavern
The Cask Tavern has had many names over the years but this is the one we liked and we firmly believe it reflects what we do. We got the keys in July 2013 and reopened after doing lots and lots of work in October 2013. The third pub in the Bollington Brewing family, it’s own place in the heart of Poynton and it’s drinkers.
After several successful years we have just revisited the decor with a full top to bottom refurbishment. With new seating, new keg board, new toilets and an all new cosy feel, and we’ve even created a small meeting area at the back of the pub. We have however kept the staff, because they’re great, and we’ve kept the beer because it’s what we do, but we’ve added some extra love and detail. But it won’t stop there, we are always trying to improve what we do and how we do it.

The Kingfisher
Situated on the corner of London Road South and Queensway, this was built in c1964. The pub originally included a restaurant and was later extended. In 2007, it was renamed King’s bar and lounge, but it now has its original name. The Kingfisher was part of the Queensway estate which was built on farmland during 1956–59. The road names on the Queensway estate all have royal connections.
