Machine Operator

Summary

Clingfoil rewind hand pallet wrap from jumbo rolls using four automatic and two semi-automatic machines. We are looking for a machine operator with a strong work ethic to join our team.

Job Duties

• Set up and operation of the rewind machines using hand tools;

• Ability to read job sheets and follow instructions accurately;

• Inspect quality while the machine is running;

• Quality check the finished goods;

• Pack the finished goods into boxes and load onto a pallet;

• Maintain excellent housekeeping in the factory;

• Assist the team as required.

Personal Qualities

• A willingness to learn and become part of our friendly, dedicated team;

• Excellent attention to detal;

• Must have the ability to read and write English, and interpret documents such as our health and safety manual, operating and maintenance instructions and risk assessments;

• Manual dexterity;

• Good attendance records

• Must be able to work in a team

Experience and Training

On-site training will be given during the first week, and ongoing training will continue;

Experience working in a factory environment is essential;

Ability to multitask will be required;

Heavy lifting will be involved;

Package

Pay rate £9.00 per hour, Monday – Friday 07.00-16.00

Possibility of overtime

28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays), plus Christmas shutdown

Probation period

An introductory probation period of three months will exist, during which time you will be eligible to earn overtime.
